چکیده
The doctrine of “the Monarchy the Father” is affirmed by nearly all patristic authors at source Trinity and its canonical, creedal formulation(s). Yet, while still discussed theologians, has been (almost) completely ignored in analytic theology. I argue that doctrine, though ancient, suggests a fresh approach within contemporary debate, reveals fatal flaw one strongest arguments against Trinitarianism. Briefly, whereas Social Trinitarianism identifies God with divine persons (taken together) Relative Identity each individually), what will call “Monarchical Trinitarianism” (the Father), without rejecting full divinity Son Spirit. According to Dale Tuggy, orthodox formulations Trinity, definition, identify rather than Father, New Testament does reverse. Tuggy's argument counts equally favor Monarchical Trinitarianism, but siphons off support, counting it as support only for Unitarianism via his definitions, which are undermined close reading both modern Trinitarian theologians.

Mormons claim that God the Father has a “body of flesh and bones.” Nowhere is this statement made in the Bible, so they support this idea through the statement that God created man in His own image, which requires that God look like a man. Current theories can support conflicting accounts of the effects of childhood maltreatment on adult religiosity. However, in the relevant empirical research there are few examples of probability sampling or a focus on nonsexual forms of abuse. It is also uncommon to control for risk factors for abuse, which may themselves also affect adult religiosity. This study attempts to overcome some of th...
متن کاملThe God of Religion and the God of Philosophy
PHILOSOPHY Ever since the time of Pascal men have feared that the 'God' worshipped by believers and the 'God' contemplated by philosophers were somehow different. The former was personal, historically active, slow to anger and plentiful in mercy: the latter was dubiously able to be described in personal terms at all, and infinite in such a way as to baffle the imagination. The 'God' of the form...
